SPECIALIZED TANTALUM CAPACITOR SOURCING & DISTRIBUTION IN CHINA
TANTALUMCORE / SERVICES

Tantalum capacitor procurement services

Six connected services, one RFQ. Support is defined by your complete ordering code, production schedule and acceptance requirements.

01

Tantalum Capacitor Sourcing

The exact requirement is clear, but the available offers and supporting evidence are not.

How TantalumCore supports you
Research supply options around the requested manufacturer and full ordering code. Clarify the offer and its unresolved points.
What to verify
Confirm technology, quantity, source documents, offer validity and packaging.
What to send with your RFQ
Send the full MPN, manufacturer, quantity, target date and destination.
02

Bulk Procurement & BOM Support

A production schedule needs split quantities, consistent packaging and a complete quotation.

How TantalumCore supports you
Organize BOM lines, immediate and scheduled demand, packaging preferences and commercial questions.
What to verify
Review reel quantities, lot consistency, delivery splits and acceptance requirements; never assume a catalog quantity is available.
What to send with your RFQ
Provide your BOM, quantities by date, approved manufacturers and shipment constraints.
03

Obsolete Part Sourcing

A legacy BOM contains discontinued or uncertain-lifecycle parts.

How TantalumCore supports you
Separate lifecycle research from exact-part sourcing and alternative comparison. Document evidence and unknowns for an offered batch.
What to verify
Check the manufacturer notice, full suffix, date-code limits, storage evidence and source records.
What to send with your RFQ
Send the original MPN, last datasheet, required quantity, application constraints and acceptable alternatives.
04

Specification & Part Number Verification

A suffix, case code or ESR condition is missing or inconsistent between documents.

How TantalumCore supports you
Compare the full ordering code and offered label against manufacturer documentation and the approved BOM.
What to verify
Check capacitance, voltage, tolerance, ESR measurement conditions, leakage, case, polarity and packaging.
What to send with your RFQ
Provide the approved MPN, datasheet revision and available label or offer details.
05

Alternative Evaluation Coordination

A suggested substitute matches nominal values but has not been reviewed in the circuit.

How TantalumCore supports you
Prepare a documented comparison and coordinate outstanding technical questions. Customer engineering authorizes any change.
What to verify
Review technology, ESR, leakage, ripple current, derating, dimensions, stability and reliability requirements.
What to send with your RFQ
Supply the original datasheet, operating conditions, critical parameters and engineering acceptance criteria.
06

Quality & Supply Verification

The offered batch needs an agreed inspection and documentation plan.

How TantalumCore supports you
Coordinate obtainable packaging, label, batch and source-document checks; discuss independent inspection when required.
What to verify
Agree provider, sample plan, methods, cost, timing and acceptance criteria. Photos alone do not establish authenticity.
What to send with your RFQ
Send traceability needs, date-code constraints, packaging requirements and the proposed acceptance scope.

First confirm the complete MPN, manufacturer, series, case and requested packaging. Ask for available reel or container labels, lot or date codes, and packaging-condition photographs. Record differences and missing evidence before order acceptance.

Review obtainable source documents for the specific offer. Complete manufacturer traceability is not assumed for every supply option. A label, photo or document alone does not establish authenticity, internal condition or electrical conformance.

If third-party inspection or laboratory testing is required, agree the provider, methods, sample plan, cost, timing and acceptance criteria in writing. Coordination depends on the specific requirement. TantalumCore does not claim an in-house laboratory or manufacturer-authorized testing.

Obtain customer engineering approval for alternatives and specialized reliability requirements. Keep the approved MPN, agreed evidence, open questions and final commercial terms with the procurement record.

Procurement workflow

Submit the brief → review supply evidence → approve technical and commercial requirements → coordinate procurement and delivery. Each step records open questions and responsibilities.

Technology & family context

Solid Tantalum Capacitors

Solid-electrolyte tantalum requirements, evaluated by exact series and ordering code.

Polymer Tantalum Capacitors

Conductive polymer technology; review ESR, leakage and operating conditions.

MnO₂ Tantalum Capacitors

Manganese dioxide cathode technology; observe series-specific application guidance.

SMD Tantalum Capacitors

Surface-mount packages, land patterns and tape-and-reel requirements.

Through-Hole Tantalum Capacitors

Lead-mounted packages, lead spacing and assembly constraints.

High-Reliability Tantalum Capacitors

Qualification, traceability and environmental requirements defined before sourcing.

Application requirements

Application planning contexts, not completed TantalumCore projects or qualification claims.

01

Industrial Control

Control cabinets and motor-adjacent electronics can have demanding local temperature and supply-transient conditions. Do not infer industrial qualification from a commercial product description.

Information to share: Supply waveform, local temperature range, duty cycle, required life, mounting constraints and customer qualification requirements.

Engineering and procurement checks: Check derating, inrush, polarity, environmental grade and any vibration requirement for the exact MPN. Preserve the approved grade and required evidence in the RFQ.

02

Power Supply Design

Output filtering and decoupling requirements depend on the regulator, switching behavior and board layout. A lower ESR does not automatically establish a stable or cooler design.

Information to share: Controller and circuit role, expected capacitance, ripple spectrum, load steps, start-up waveform and thermal conditions.

Engineering and procurement checks: Review the controller’s capacitor requirements, impedance, ripple limits and validation plan. Customer engineering approves stability, transient and thermal performance before purchasing substitutes.

03

Telecommunications Equipment

Communications boards may require compact capacitors and controlled power-rail behavior. The equipment name alone supplies no voltage, ripple or reliability requirement.

Information to share: Power-rail limits, load profile, board space, operating environment, service expectations and applicable equipment requirements.

Engineering and procurement checks: Compare leakage, ESR conditions, temperature margin and package limits. Any particular qualification must be evidenced for the exact part; directory inclusion is not approval for network infrastructure.

04

Embedded Electronics

Space constraints and power budgets can make height, leakage and start-up behavior as important as nominal capacitance. Mechanical or electrical changes can require a new board review.

Information to share: Rail specification, standby-current budget, available height and land pattern, start-up behavior and assembly process.

Engineering and procurement checks: Check dimensions, polarity, leakage conditions, reflow and any moisture-handling requirement. Validate the actual circuit and keep candidate parts separate from the released BOM.

05

OEM / EMS Manufacturing

A technically approved component still needs a production-ready purchasing brief. Packaging and mixed-lot policies must be compatible with the customer’s assembly and release process.

Information to share: Released BOM, complete ordering codes, quantity by date, approved alternatives, reel preferences and required inspection or batch records.

Engineering and procurement checks: Agree label and packaging requirements, lot acceptance, documentation and delivery assumptions. Confirm offer validity at order acceptance; forecasts do not create reserved inventory.
